The World Food Championships (WFC) announced today that its barbecue field will be limited to a total of 70 teams for its eighth annual competition in Dallas, Texas. The event, which features ten categories and awards over $350,000 in cash, will be held at Reunion Tower Lawn from Oct. 16-20.

Maryland Joins Food Sport As State Partner for 2019

World Food Championships (WFC) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with The Restaurant Association of Maryland for the state of Maryland to be represented at WFC 2019. The association will be awarding four Golden Tickets to Maryland chefs through its Maryland Foodie Fest, which is set for June 22, 2019.

Wild Card Elite Division Returns for its Third Season

The World Food Championships (WFC) announced today that its Wild Card Elite Division will return for its 8th annual event occurring October 16-20 in Dallas, Texas. WFC Announces 2019 Award Programming Changes

The World Food Championships (WFC) announced today that its 2019 award programming will be changed to highlight Champions and allow more local tourism time for all competitors. Instead of its traditional four nights of awards, WFC will now conduct only two nights of award programming –– Saturday, Oct. 19, and Sunday, Oct. 20.
