2013 WFC Category Payouts Announced

In 2013, the World Food Championships will pay out over $300,000 in cash and prizes to as many as 108 competitors in the field of 450.  That's almost a 1 in 4 chance that competitors will share in the "love" and walk out of Vegas with some cash in hand!

The Official 2013 World Food Championships Category Competitor Packets Now Available

The official 2013 World Food Championships category competitor packets are now available for download. The competitor packets are "living" documents that will continue to grow as more information is shared. The packets provide an overview of the competition structure, a detailed description of the World Food Championships' EAT(tm) scoring methodology and benchmark dates for additional information.

Reser's "America's Best Potato Salad Challenge" asks for America's vote

All year long, Reser’s® Fine Foods’ “America’s Best Potato Salad Challenge” has been on a quest for the greatest potato salad recipe known to America, and what a quest its been! The initial submission period closed in mid-July but the ballot is now open to the public to help whittle the top 20 finalists down to the top nine.

#FoodChamp Challenge calls for pasta entries

The fourth and final #FoodChamp Challenge is here! This time, anything is “past-able”… well, just as long as it includes pasta! Spaghetti, fettucini, macaroni – you name it! We want to see your most fantastic pasta dishes for this month’s challenge. As a reward, we’ll be shelling out five entries to the World Food Championships to compete in the World Recipe Championship.

TNT to Sponsor 2013 World Food Championships

The 2013 World Food Championships, to be held Nov. 7-10 at the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas, will invite more than 400 competitors to compete for their share of the event’s $300,000 prize purse. This year’s competition will feature seven iconic culinary categories: BBQ, chili, burger, sandwich, dessert, bacon and recipe.

The World Food Championships announced today that Ben Vaughn, a notable culinary chef and Food Network star, has signed on to be the official emcee and host of the 2013 event, which will be held throughout the world-famous Fremont Street area of Downtown Las Vegas.

Wade Fortin, winner of the Bull Burger Battle in Carol Stream, has secured a coveted qualifying position to compete amongst the best cooks and chefs in the world at the second annual World Food Championships. The World Food Championships, boasting a $300,000 prize purse, will be held Nov. 7-10 in Las Vegas.
