The Final Table: Indianapolis Rescheduled To August

In light of the continuing developments of the COVID-19 virus and an announcement yesterday from the Governor of Indiana, the World Food Championships (WFC) and its Indiana partners — Visit Indy, Ivy Tech Community College, Sysco and Team Indiana — just announced that The $100,000 Final Table and corresponding food events have been rescheduled for August 5-9, 2020.

WFC Responds To COVID-19

As the leader in Food Sport, all of us at the World Food Championships (WFC) have been monitoring the current situation with COVID-19 and its impact on our industry. While the last week has been unprecedented, we want to assure our partners, contestants, sponsors, volunteers and judges that this is NOT a time for fear and panic. Quite the contrary, it is a time for precaution, preparedness and common sense. To that end, we are having numerous conversations and assessing all of the guidelines that are coming out of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and our national leaders, as well as our local leaders in cities where our numerous events are currently scheduled.

After its inaugural year in Dallas, the World Food Championships (WFC) has been named one of the Top 10 food events in the country by USA Today. As the only Texas-based food festival represented in the Top 10 list — as well as the only “Food Sport” event on the list — this award is not only a BIG honor for the organization, but it’s also a testament to the BIG passion and movement behind Food Sport, as well as the culinary scene in Dallas.

Port Aransas Expands Its Food Sport Menu of Events

The sandy beaches of Port Aransas (Port A) and Mustang Island are getting a wave of culinary events coming to its beautiful 18-mile sunny shoreline. Thanks to its third year as the official Texas gateway to the World Food Championships (WFC), Port A is set to host two premier Food Sport events in 2020 – the WFC Super Chefs qualifier and a new judge certification class.

WFC Welcomes Notorious Dallas Chef to its 2020 Ambassador Council

From past Food Sport competitors to seasoned chefs, the World Food Championships’ (WFC) Ambassador Council is jam-packed with an array of culinary talent. The council announced WFC will be adding four-time James Beard nominee, renowned chef and Texas restaurateur, Kent Rathbun to the team for 2020.
