The time for potential competitors to take their shot at food fame and fortune is quickly ticking away! The WildCard Draw is open and applications are currently being accepted. The deadline to submit an application is this Friday, Oct. 4 at 5PM PDT. If you’re not already in the field of competitors, this is your chance to make your best case for why you should be included in the ultimate food fight!

WFC Announces Structured and Infused Build information
The 2013 World Food Championships features an exciting tournament structure that will create culinary drama while truly highlighting all competitors’ abilities to create a recipe and work within their defined field as they try to set themselves apart from the rest of the field. Competitors in each category will have multiple rounds of turn-ins and competitions as they seek food, fame and fortune in Las Vegas. The World Food Championships is pleased to share the specific requirements of the various builds for each category today (9/27/13). The competitor packets will be updated with this information at the beginning of next week.

World Food Championships announces The Bison Council as a partner
The World Food Championships announced today a partnership with The Bison Council that will integrate bison as a protein option into the second annual World Food Championships, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nov. 7-10 at the Fremont Street Experience and Fremont East District. As a partner to the World Food Championships, The Bison Council with High Plains Bison will provide products for use as featured ingredients in two of the seven competition categories occurring throughout the weekend.

Reser's Announces Winners in Nationwide Potato Salad Recipe Contest
Reser’s second annual “America’s Best Potato Salad Challenge” asked cooks to get creative and submit their best potato salad recipe. Hundreds of submissions poured in from across the nation. Reser’s culinary team evaluated the entries and selected the top 20. Then, Reser’s asked America to cast its vote to help determine which lucky contestants would win a trip to this year’s World Food Championships in Las Vegas (Nov 7-10).
