Wampler’s Sausage “Beachy Breakfast Bake Off” Winners Announced!

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (October 7, 2016) – The Wampler’s Sausage “Beachy Breakfast Bake Off” Online Recipe Contest brought in some of the tastiest Breakfast recipes yet! We thank our friends at Wampler’s for partnering with us for this contest. After careful deliberation, the judges tallied up and chose the best breakfast recipes. Although all of the recipes looked delicious, the judges had to come to a tough conclusion between the entries.

Fletch Miller’s “Fire Roasted Poblano Stuffed Wamplers White Lightin' Sausage with Fresh Herb Beurre Blanc” brought him to first place! His creative breakfast recipe featured Wampler’s White Lightin’ Sausage and gouda polenta stuffed poblano peppers over a bed of sauteed potatoes, tri-bell peppers, and onions… Yum! The recipe also included basted eggs, asparagus, and Fresh Herb Beurre blanc spooned over the dish. This unique and fresh breakfast recipe scored Fletch a registration-paid Golden Ticket slot in the Recipe Category at the 2016 World Food Championships in Orange Beach, Alabama this November, plus a $500 travel stipend.

Meanwhile, these four entries earned their creators Golden Ticket invitations to compete:
Second Place: “Savory Sausage Bread Pudding,” by Shauna Havey.
Third Place: “Rocky Top Bama Coast Benedict,” by Chris Lash.
Fourth Place: “Breakfast Sausage & Chorizo Chilaquilada,” by Lidia Haddadian.
Fifth Place: “Sausage and Mushroom-Stuffed Omelette Waffles With Cheesy Sausage Drizzle,” by Ronna Farley.
