WFC & OBR Cooking Up A Tasty Fundraiser

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – (July 12, 2016) Thanks to a new partnership between World Food Championships and Operation BBQ Relief, the 2016 Ultimate Food Fight in Orange Beach, Alabama this November could turn into the Ultimate Food Night.

The two organizations are teaming up to host a Low Country Boil on Thursday, Nov. 10 from 6:00-8:00 at the heartbeat of the event’s footprint at The Wharf. Attendees can enjoy some of the best seafood the Gulf has to offer in a relaxed setting with friends and family. Advance tickets to the all-you-can-eat-affair can be purchased online for only $20, or for $30 at the door.

Operation BBQ Relief, which was founded in 2011, is a nonprofit that strives to help feed people in disaster-stricken areas across the U.S. It is funded completely by donations, merchandise sales, volunteers and fundraisers, such as WFC’s Low Country Boil.

“It is an honor to be able to work with Operation BBQ Relief. OBR’s mission resonates deeply with the values of WFC and our competitors/judges, and we’re excited to bring a new event into our footprint that will also give attendees a rewarding experience,” said Mike McCloud, CEO of World Food Championships. “As WFC continues to grow, partnering with nonprofits like OBR is a key focus of ours as we try to channel the goodwill and community spirit of the thousands of FoodChamps who support our causes.”

Celebrating its 5th Anniversary this year, WFC 2016 is shaping up to be the best one yet with new events, sponsors, venues and more. The world’s largest Food Sport event has plenty of new culinary events for attendees this year, including another charity event called Bourb’N’Que.
