The 2015 Prize Purse is Revealed!

The World Food Championships Committee announced today the 2015 Prize Purse payouts. Like each of its previous years, more than $300,000 will be awarded through the tournament as nine championships unfold and a Grand Champion is crowned at the Final Table.

Like last year, the WFC will be rewarding the ultimate winner with $100,000. Additionally, the payouts have been changed so that MORE competitors will end up "in the money." In fact, all 9 Final Table contestants and all competitors who make the Top 10 in each category will take home some cash.

Combined with the World Chef Challenge and the new Kansas City Steak Challenge, that means that almost 100 WFC competitors (20% of the expected field) will be leaving Kissimmeee with bragging rights AND extra cash in their pockets!

Here's how the prize payouts in each category will be distributed:

1st Place - $100,000

2nd Place - $5,000

3rd Place - $3,000

4^th Place - $2,000

5^th Place - $1,500

6^th Place - $1,250

7^th Place - $1,000

8^th Place - $750

9^th Place - $500
