Famous Dave’s Turns Up the Heat with Expanded Role at 2025 World Food Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - (September 10, 2025) - The smoke is rising, and the stakes are higher than ever as Famous Dave’s of America returns to the World Food Championships (WFC) this October in Indianapolis with an expanded role that’s set to bring even more flavor, fire, and excitement to FoodSport’s biggest stage.

Building on its successful partnership and All-Star BBQ Series in ten markets, Famous Dave’s serves as the official category sponsor of WFC’s ultra-competitive Barbecue division, where some of the world’s best pitmasters will battle for bragging rights and the chance to be crowned World Barbecue Champion.

But the fun doesn’t stop in Kitchen Arena. Attendees can also experience Famous Dave’s bold, award-winning flavors firsthand throughout the weekend in WFC’s outdoor Tailgate Zone, where the brand is partnering with Yoder Smokers to deliver interactive activations, live-fire cooking, and mouthwatering product samples. The 50x50 outdoor space promises to be a hotspot for fans and foodies, filled with the smoky aromas and signature recipes that have made Famous Dave’s a household name.

Adding even more excitement, “Famous Dave” Anderson himself (the legendary pitmaster and founder of the iconic brand), will engage with fans before taking a seat at the judge’s table during the Barbecue Final Round. His expertise and passion for great barbecue will help determine which competitor earns the title of 2025 World Barbecue Champion.

The 2025 World Food Championships will take place October 16–19 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center with over 400 competition teams battling for their share of $450,000 in prize money and the coveted title of World Champion. The weekend will also feature the 58^th annual World Championship Chili Cook-off and unique ticketed attractions, including the Taste of WFC Premium Experience (with optional Sizzle Pass enhancement) and the IGNITE! WFC Music & BBQ Kickoff Party taking place on Friday, October 17.
