Western U.S. Agricultural Trade Association Brings Regional Flavors to Center Stage at Flavor Fusion Culinary Showdown at ANUGA 2025

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – (September 7, 2025) – The World Food Championships (WFC) is proud to announce another exciting addition to its international lineup at the upcoming Flavor Fusion Culinary Showdown during Anuga 2025 in Cologne, Germany. Sunday, October 5, is brought to trade show visitors at ANUGA by Western U.S. Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA).
Throughout the day, chefs competing in three thrilling head-to-head battles will be challenged to showcase their culinary creativity, incorporating WUSATA region exhibitors’ diverse products as required ingredients. This special event will amplify the WUSATA brand, showcasing its mission to drive the global growth of Western agriculture. It will educate visitors about the state regional trade group, highlight its exhibitors, and create opportunities for companies to learn, connect, and compete more effectively in international markets.
“Anuga is one of the most influential food shows in the world, and the Flavor Fusion Culinary Showdown provides the perfect stage to celebrate the innovation and quality behind American agriculture,” said Mike McCloud, President and CEO of WFC. “We’re thrilled to partner with WUSATA to highlight their exceptional products and to see how our competing chefs transform them into world-class dishes.”
With its mission to promote and expand international markets for Western U.S. food and agricultural companies, WUSATA supports hundreds of businesses across the region by connecting them with buyers, trade opportunities, and global exposure. Their inclusion in the WFC competition not only underscores the growing importance of U.S. agriculture on the global culinary scene but also demonstrates the creative ways these products can inspire new dishes and trends.
The Flavor Fusion Culinary Showdown at Anuga 2025 (October 4–8 in Cologne, Germany) will bring together top chefs, industry leaders, and global food enthusiasts for five days of competition, education, and celebration of food innovation. Each day will feature a dedicated partner, unique required ingredients, and live cooking battles designed to highlight culinary artistry and US product versatility.
