WFC Announces Categories for 2024 Main Event
WFC Holdings announced today that the global leader in Food Sport will be expanding its WFC Main Event in 2024.

Fresh off the addition of a Mixology championship and the return of the Chef category, WFC will now crown 13 champions at its next tournament. The additional category will be Rice, which has proved to be a unique and iconic food dish that was previously paired with Noodle.

"As we continue to grow our WFC event footprint globally, we want to make our platform as diverse and representative of the global food community as possible.  Splitting Rice and Noodle makes a lot of strategic sense for the competition as so many of our award-winning chefs and cooks come from regions where these foods are specialties.” commented Mike Eaton, CEO of WFCH.

The 2024 WFC Main Event will feature over 300 competitive teams who will test their culinary talents in the following key categories: Bacon, Barbecue, Burger, Chef, Dessert, Live Fire, Noodle, Sandwich, Seafood, Soup, Rice, Vegetarian. Rounding out the "baker's dozen" of categories will be the 2nd Annual World Mixology Championship, where leading spirits and mixology professionals will shake, rattle and stir their way through one of the event's most interesting attractions.

Exact dates and location of the Main Event have not been announced. However, it is anticipated that the competition will once again incorporate Veteran's Day into its key activities. Stay tuned to all WFC social media and this web site for more details and announcements in the coming weeks.

The next key event for WFC is the event's ultimate finale, The Final Table, where champions from the 2023 tournament will go head to head in an elimination style culinary event at Brightwater facilities in Northwest Arkansas. The richest purse in Food Sport history, with a $150,000 grand prize, awaits the champion. That event occurs April 13 and 14 in Bentonville, Arkansas. A limited amount of public tickets are available; click here if you would like to submit a request to attend.
