Returning WFC Partner Focuses On Eco-Friendly Initiative
The World Food Championships (WFC) announced today that Natural Tableware® will reprise their role as Food Sport’s voice of eco-consciousness at the Ultimate Food Fight in Orange Beach, Alabama this November.

By utilizing compostable, organic and renewable products from Natural Tableware®, WFC hopes to support the company’s vision of phasing out plastic entirely by providing the world with bio-based alternatives. At this year’s competition, all Top Ten Bacon World Championship competitors will use the eco-friendly brand to plate their dish.

Toxin-free Natural Tableware® plateware lines are made from sugarcane plant fibers or discarded palm leaves—even utensils are made from organic sources. It will be utilized in WFC’s special events such as the Walmart VIP Lounge and Soup-or-Bowl Sunday.

“This partnership has helped us execute great Food Sport events in an environmentally friendly way,” said Mike McCloud, President and CEO of WFC. “We are excited to be able to continue this partnership with Natural Tableware®.”
The 7th Annual WFC, presented by Walmart, will be held Nov. 7-11 at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama. In the meantime, stay up to date on all WFC news and developments by following us on Twitter (@WorldFoodChamp), and Facebook and Instagram (@WorldFoodChampionships).
