The World Food Championships Offers New Cooking Class for Aspiring Young Chefs

The World Food Championships (WFC), the largest Food Sport event in the world, announced it is introducing a new culinary program for aspiring kid chefs at its 2018 main event in Orange Beach, Alabama. Children in grades third through 12th will have the opportunity to take a professional cooking class lead by Food Sport competitors.

“We are very excited to partner with City of Orange Beach to help educate the next generation of Food Champs,” said Mike McCloud President/CEO of WFC, “We pride ourselves on the fact that our event offers something for every age to enjoy. We hope that through this experience these young chefs will one day be competing in Kitchen Arena.”

During the hands-on cooking class, students will learn about classic cooking techniques, cultural cuisines and the world of culinary arts. The class will be lead by seasoned WFC competitors Chef Jonathan and Jessica Langston and will also feature one of the youngest WFC Food Champs, fifteen-year-old Jonathan Giovannoni (2017 Bacon World Championship Top Ten and Chopped Canada Junior Winner).

The Kid’s Cuisine cooking class will be held at The Palms on November 10 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The $30.00 class fee includes admission for one child and one adult into the main event. Space is limited, only 50 spots available.
