Idaho Potato Commission Announces Online Recipe Winners

Idaho® Potato Commission’s first World Food Championships online qualifier sparked a ton of interest from Food Champs across the country. And after careful deliberation and review by IPC and our Ambassador team, the Summer Spud online recipe results are in!

Congratulations to these talented cooks on their award-winning recipes:

IPC 2018 Winners:

1st place: Krista Towns – Sunny Spanish Tortilla with Manchego and Pickled Onions

2nd place: Norbert Bomm – Schupfnudeln, Summer Ratatouille and Sauce Verte

3rd place: Darlene Buerger – One Potato, Two Potato, Three Potato Pot Pie

The first place winner, Krista Towns, has just won a waived Golden Ticket ($300 Retail Value) to compete in the 2018 World Chili Championship. Second and third place winners, Norbert Bomm and Darlene Buerger, have won qualification Golden Tickets that can also be used for the 2018 World Chili Championship.

The 7th Annual WFC, presented by Walmart, will be held Nov 7-11 at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama.
