WFC Welcomes Minor’s into the “Majors” of Food Sport
Today the World Food Championships welcomed a new partner into the Food Sport family. Minor’s® has signed up for the event’s 7th Anniversary as the Official Structured Sponsor of the World Chef Category in 2018.
Minor’s, the #1 preferred flavor base of professional chefs,1 will be providing the competitors in the Chef category with its NEW! Classical Reductions™ Reduced Chicken Stock and full line of 10 Flavor Concentrates. Chefs will be challenged to incorporate Minor’s signature flavors into their recipe for the structured build portion of the opening round of competition.
“Our Chef category has always been a creative and innovative part of the championship,” said President/CEO of the World Food Championships Mike McCloud. “I know the field of talented chefs will be ecstatic to have Minor’s products to use as they do their best to construct an award-winning dish.”
Minor’s understands that flavor means business. For this reason, they will also be making their premium products available in the WFC Pantry so all of the 2018 competitors have a chance to use the authentic flavors to create Food Sport’s best culinary dishes.
Since pioneering the first flavor base in 1951, Minor’s has been an essential ingredient of professional kitchens. Each of their bases, sauces and concentrates have been developed by chefs, for chefs, to provide the very best flavor. Using classical culinary techniques, Minor’s products allow modern Chefs to add the savory flavors of freshly roasted meats, sautéed and caramelized vegetables, or authentic global experiences to their creations instantly—which will be critical during timed competitions at the Ultimate Food Fight.
The World Food Championship main event is scheduled for Nov 7 – 11, 2018, at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama. To keep up with all WFC news, follow World Food Championships on Twitter (@WorldFoodChamp), and Facebook or Instagram (@WorldFoodChampionships).
Minor’s has a rich heritage of providing exceptional flavors to professionals that take pride in every dish and every ingredient. Created by chefs, for chefs, each Minor’s product — from kitchen essentials like bases and flavor concentrates— to new innovations like Classical Reductions™ and GreenLeaf Pestos™— use high-quality ingredients that are selected, sourced and handled with care to the highest standards of quality and food safety. In 2016, Minor’s facility achieved ready-to-eat status from the USDA, meaning Minor’s Ready to Flavor™ products can now be added to hot and cold applications without the added step of cooking.
