With Halloween behind us, Las Vegas can look forward to a mellower string of events this weekend.

  • Sunday: Judy Collins at Smith Center

    Eclectic singer-songwriter Judy Collins is at Reynolds Hall this weekend to perform her renditions of traditional and contemporary folk standards culled from her 50-album body of work. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $37 to $99.

  • Lowell McCain and defending champion Robert Butler bread lobster tails during a sandwich competition at the World Food Championships on Fremont Street on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013. The competitions continue through the weekend.

    Tonight - Sunday: World Food Championships at Fremont Street Experience

    Gentlemen, start your grills! Join hundreds of chefs, home cooks and food aficionados at Fremont Street Experience as they compete in categories ranging from bacon fries to chili to sandwiches to barbecue. All competitions are free to attend, although special events like the Ultimate Bacon Experience on Saturday require separate ticket purchases.
