Lansdale Man Earns Top Honor At World Food Championships In Las Vegas

Share:

By Brad Segall

WARMINSTER, Pa. (CBS) — A Montgomery County man who has been cookingcompetitively since 2007 can now claim he has the best pork ribs in the world.

Bob Trudnak spends his days as marketing manager for Warminster-based BBQ Guru, which manufactures the oven he uses to make his now “World’s-Best Ribs.” The 43-year-old Lansdale man picked up the title at the World Food Championships in Las Vegas. Calling it the best feeling in the world, Trudnak revealed a couple of his secrets to success.

“I start out with high quality ribs, then I use a blend of rubs, but I also have created my own barbecue sauce over the last few years.”

That sauce, he says, just went commercial in the last week.

While his ribs may be the best in the world, Trudnak still wants to claim the title for best brisket, pork and chicken.

Trudnak and his wife also run a catering business, so there is a way to get your hands around those ribs.
