Hot off the grill!

Celebrated star chef Nobu Matsuhisa and his business partner, Academy Award-winning actorRobert De Niro, see a dream come true this weekend with the official completion of and party celebrating the world’s first Nobu Hotel. The Sunday night festivities will be set amid pool oasisGardens of the Gods at Caesars Palace with Taiko drummers, Japanese lanterns, Nobu-inspired fashions and his sushi and sashimi delights.

The Nobu Tower at Caesars will be lit up in purple, and Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran performs at the party.“Peepshow” stars past and present Holly Madison and Coco Austin, respectively, make their first joint appearance, and Caesars headlinerMatt Goss will be on the red carpet withPussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin.

Magician David Blaine also is attending, so who knows what magic he’ll manipulate. Part of the festivities and the concert will be streamed live to the Strip on the Caesars marquee near the fountains that Evel Knievel once jumped over by motorcycle.

FOODIE FEST: Today through Sunday, more than 30 food trucks return to Silverton Casino Lodge for the Las Vegas Foodie Fest. The vehicles and vendors have been featured on The Food Network, The Cooking Channel, The History Channel and The Travel Channel.

White Castle, Seoul Sausage, the first-place winner of Food Network’s third “Great Food Truck Race” and finalist Nonna’s Kitchenetteare among the trucks. Food trucks from across the country are joining with local trucks, and a portion of proceeds benefits our local food bank Three Square.

KEEP MEMORY ALIVE: Star chef Wolfgang Puck will re-create the original Keep Memory Alive dinner from 17 years ago in a celebration atSpago in The Forum Shops at Caesars on May 29 to continue his contributions to The Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.

Just 60 people gathered in Spago back then to start the drive with a few thousand dollars. Two weeks ago at the “Power of Love” gala at MGM Grand Garden Arena, the crowd for Quincy Jones and Sir Michael Caine’s joint 80th birthdays was 1,700, and $11 million was raised.

ARTWORK AT LUPO: Incidentally, check out the two new dramatic artworks unveiled Wednesday at Wolf’s Lupo in Mandalay Bay. ArtistDavid Ryan showed his three-dimensional “Cut Paste Time and Space,” which is a brilliantly bright colorful wall hanging.

Computer graphics wizard John Carpenter showed his panels titled “Trailers Lupo” above the main bar. They hypnotize looking like firefly glowworms streaking across the night sky and are activated by sensors capturing patrons’ movements at Lupo.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS: The highest stakes food competition in the world returns to Las Vegas from Nov. 7-10, and Bally’s will be the host Strip hotel.

DANIEL BOULUD RETURNS? Expect a surprise announcement from star chef Daniel Boulud at the Epicurean Affair at Azure Pool at the Palazzo on May 23 with 75 of our finest restaurants, nightclubs and beverage purveyors. I’m betting my pal Daniel will reveal his return to the Las Vegas culinary scene with a new restaurant at the neighboring Venetian.

And there’s also buzz around town that Steve Martorano of Cafe Martorano in The Rio is getting another home-styled Italian restaurant, this one at Paris.
