Top 50 Side-Dish Category Invitations Announced

The World Food Championships committee announced today how the 50 cooks and chefs competing in the World Side-Dish Championship will qualify for Vegas, where the winner will have a chance to compete for the loftiest food crown in food competition history.


The WFC will be sending invitations to the winners of the following 40 competitions and contests:

If a contest or competition winner is not able to accept the invitation and participate in The World Food Championships, invitations will be extended to an alternate winner at the same event or the winner of an additional event. 

The remaining 10 contestants will come from online competitions at JustAPinch.com (5 spots) and WFC special exemptions (5) based on criteria determined by the competition committee. All invited teams who qualify will receive a direct email message from the WFC on how to sign up and opt into the event. A $125 entry/processing fee will be required.

Rules for the WFC are subject to change, but all decisions made by the WFC competition committee are final.

*Denotes an event change made by the WFC competition committee due to a cancellation of a previous event. All events listed above are accurate as of today's date. Since the events are subject to change beyond the control of the WFC, check back often to see the latest qualifiers. All actual team entries into the WFC will be confirmed via an email invitation.
