Celebrity Chef Eric Greenspan Returns as Culinary Advisor and Host of Taste of WFC Experience for 2025 Event in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – (September 16, 2025) – The World Food Championships (WFC) announced that acclaimed celebrity chef and TV personality Eric Greenspan will return for the second year in a row as Culinary Advisor and Host of the Taste of WFC Premium Experience during the 2025 event, set for October 16-19 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center.

Following a highly praised debut in 2024, where Greenspan was joined by fellow culinary stars Damaris Phillips and Kelsey Murphy, the chef will once again curate the culinary journey for WFC’s signature tasting event. Known for his inventive and elevated flavor profiles, Chef Eric’s leadership will bring bold creativity and gourmet inspiration to the multi-day food fest.

“Eric’s energy, passion, and culinary vision made a huge impact on last year’s Taste of WFC experience,” said Mike McCloud, Founder & CEO of World Food Championships. “We’re thrilled to have him back in Indy as we continue building unforgettable moments for our fans, foodies, and event attendees.”

Greenspan has kept busy since last year’s championship, most recently lending his culinary expertise to the development of the innovative new Tesla Diner in Los Angeles; a venture that blends cutting-edge technology with elevated dining. He was also named the winner of Food Network’s recent Guy’s Grocery Games “Greatest of All Time” tournament, taking home the coveted title and $70,000 top prize.

Eric Greenspan has an extensive culinary background and is also the Co-Founder of New School American, a premium American cheese brand launched in 2022. Made with aged cheddar, real cream and real butter, New School American will be a featured element of WFC’s new “Sizzle Pass”. This additional ticketing option will grant Food Sport fans the chance to enter the Taste of WFC Premium Experience one hour before standard ticket holders and feature unique meet and greet elements, as well as a sampling of Chef Greeny’s delicious gourmet grilled cheese offerings.  Additional details surrounding this year’s Taste of WFC experience and new “Sizzle Pass” can be found at worldfoodchampionships.com/2025-ticket-info.

The 2025 edition promises another all-access, flavor-packed journey through Food Sport’s biggest weekend, offering attendees a unique opportunity to sample championship-caliber dishes and interact with celebrity chefs. Greenspan will also serve on final round judging panels and New School American cheese will be a featured Pantry Partner for the competitors to utilize throughout the event.

“Being part of the World Food Championships is always a highlight for me,” said Chef Eric Greenspan. “The passion, creativity, and talent in Food Sport is unlike anything else in the culinary world. I’m excited to return to Indianapolis and help bring the Taste of WFC and Sizzle Pass experiences to life, it’s a weekend that truly celebrates the power of food and the people who make it extraordinary.”

The 2025 World Food Championships, “Indy’s Most Delicious Event”, will take place October 16-19 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center with over 400 competition teams battling for their share of $450,000 in prize money and the coveted title of World Champion. The weekend will also feature the 58th annual World Championship Chili Cook-off and unique ticketed attractions, including the Taste of WFC Premium Experience (with optional Sizzle Pass enhancement) and the IGNITE! WFC Music & BBQ Kickoff Party taking place on Friday, October 17.
