World Food Championships Partners with Maple Leaf Farms to Bring Duck to Competition

Indianapolis, IN – The World Food Championships (WFC), the world’s largest food sport competition focused on everyday cooking categories, announced that Maple Leaf Farms will be an official sponsor at this year’s event. Set to take place November 8-12, the WFC will be held at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center in Indianapolis.

“We are excited to work with Maple Leaf Farms to provide their signature duck products to our competitive chefs,” said Mike McCloud, Founder of World Food Championships. “Duck is a delicious and versatile protein that will allow our competitors to create top-notch dishes.”

As part of Maple Leaf Farms sponsorship, the company will provide an array of high-quality duck products for the chefs to utilize in the competition. The company will also be a Rice Category Partner, which will feature duck as an optional ingredient in the signature round and a required ingredient in the final round of the category’s competition.

“As an Indiana-grown company, Maple Leaf Farms is thrilled to be a part of this year’s 2024 World Food Championships,” said Maple Leaf Farms Director of Marketing Olivia Tucker. “Our fourth-generation family business offers a variety of duck products for culinary adventurers—from professional chefs to home cooks to food sport competitors.”

The 2024 World Food Championships will be a multi-day, live culinary event featuring some of the world's best cooks competing for food, fame, and fortune in 12 categories: Bacon, Barbecue, Burger, Chef, Dessert, Live Fire, Noodle, Rice, Sandwich, Seafood, Soup and Vegetarian. Thousands of cook teams vie for a Golden Ticket at official qualifying events throughout the year to secure a place in the WFC 2024.
