A: 22 years

A: I am a member of the Coast Guard as a culinary specialist. The opportunity presented itself to me. Very thankful it did.

Q: How many times have you competed at WFC?
A: First time.

Q: What is the name of the dish you won your category with at the 2023 WFC?
A: Steak and black bean mole

Q: Can you tell us a little about that dish?

A: Delegation with my Sous Chefs

A: Everything. Competing against the best, it is an honor and privilege.

Q: What type of competitor do you identify as
A: Home Cook

Q: Any advice you'd like to share with competitors new to WFC?
A: Take your time and be still in the moment. Enjoy yourself and take in the moment.

Q: What is something few people know about you?
A: I love to be outdoors…fishing, camping, kayaking, and hiking.
