Tyson Foods to Set ‘The Chairman's Table’ at World Food Championships
Tyson Foods is partnering with the World Food Championships (WFC) to create a custom tasting experience featuring Chairman's Reserve® Meats during the 10th-anniversary event underway from November 9-13 at the iconic Fair Park complex in Dallas. Past WFC champions will use Chairman's Reserve products to prepare their custom-curated four-course tasting menu to be presented at “The Chairman’s Table.” Twelve tables will be presented while the main event's core competitions take place through Sunday.
“The World Food Championship 10th anniversary event is the perfect venue to showcase Chairman's Reserve Meats. Our quality Angus beef and premium pork offer the professional chefs and competitors consistent flavor and tenderness for those moments that matter," says Britney Banuelos, senior brand manager, Fresh Meats marketing & premium programs, Tyson Foods. "The brand exists to provide a canvas for creativity in any kitchen, and we can't wait to taste what the champions prepare." The Chairman's Reserve Meats brand team is also partnering with WFC as the presenting sponsor of the World Barbecue Championship, which will feature 30 of the best pitmasters in America. The winner will take home major bragging rights, a $10,000 prize purse, and a seat at WFC's Final Table in the spring. That's when all 10 category champions at WFC will face off for a bonus prize of $100,000.
WFC's barbecue championship occurs over three days, with preliminary competitions on Friday, November 11, and Saturday, November 12. Then, on Sunday, November 13, the 11 best-scoring teams will produce brisket and burnt ends, using Chairman's Reserve products, as they try to impress one of the most decorated BBQ panel of judges in food sports. That panel will consist of five legends in the barbecue industry, including Tuffy Stone, Famous Dave Anderson, Lee Ann Whippen, Harry Soo and Chris Lilly.
