2014 WFC Judge
Billy Altieri is an innovation chef at Red Robin Gourmet Burgers. He works at Yummm University, Red Robin’s state-of-the-art culinary R&D and training facility, where all new dishes are created for the restaurant’s 500 locations. Billy joined the culinary team about a year ago, after working in the Research & Development department. At Yummm University, Chef Billy & the culinary team design all new menu prototypes based on hot trends and consumer research.
Billy is a Johnson & Wales University alumnus, where he studied Culinary Nutrition & Product Development and was introduced to the corporate culinary industry.
When he’s not working, he likes to cook at home and go out to new and exciting restaurants. He truly enjoys new food experiences, which is why he’s ready to see what dishes will be created at the 2014 World Food Championship.
