Chef Sean Wheeler, Executive Chef for Shaggy's Restaurants, is a celebrated chef recognized for his achievements, including "Best Chef" at the 2024 Pensacola News Journal's Community Choice Awards, "Best Dish" at Chef's on the Coast, and "Best Signature Dish" at Pensacola Beach's Taste of the Beach in both 2023 and 2024. He plays a key role in menu development and contributes to the success of Shaggy's locations in Mississippi and Florida. Originally from East Texas, Chef Sean's culinary journey was deeply influenced by the region's rich traditions in deep southern BBQ and Cajun Creole cuisine, shaping the distinctive flavors he presents today. Before joining the Shaggy's team, Chef Sean owned a restaurant in the dynamic culinary landscape of Austin, Texas. When the opportunity arose to work on the stunning Pensacola Beach, he jumped at the chance and has been a valued member of the Shaggy's family for four years.
