Team: JD’s Head Cook: John Davis Competition: World Seafood Competition Growing up in Lutherville, Maryland, as the oldest of eight siblings, I quickly realized the need to carve out my own space in my busy household. While my siblings pursued their own interests, I found my passion through watching cooking shows. This fascination sparked a culinary journey where I experimented with global recipes, adding my own creative flair to each dish. The joy and happiness my family and friends felt when sharing my meals gave me a deep sense of accomplishment. I discovered that cooking wasn’t just about food—it was a recipe for connection and togetherness. As a passionate food enthusiast, I focus on incorporating fresh, local seafood, meats, and produce into simple, nutritious, and delicious meals. Whether my ingredients come from local farms or my own garden, my goal is to inspire busy people who often rely on fast food to enjoy cooking at home. I aim to share easy, flavorful, and healthy recipes that can often be prepared at home in less time than waiting in a fast-food line. Winning the 2023 National Cook-off Contest grand prize fueled my passion for sharing my culinary creations. I’m excited to compete in the World Food Championships this year!
