Chad Whittington – Maggie’s Farm: Outdoor Southern Cooking What began as a hobby has grown into a full-time food truck and catering business for Chad Whittington, owner of Maggie’s Farm: Outdoor Southern Cooking. For more than fifteen years, he has competed in cooking events across Alabama, earning top honors including overall winner at the Alabama Wildlife Federation Wild Game Cook-Off (2015 & 2017), first place at the Greater Tuscaloosa Chili Cook-Off (2015), and multiple crowd favorite awards. In 2019, Chad captured first place at the Gadsden Burger Battle, earning a Golden Ticket to Dallas and his first shot at the World Food Championships. Since then, he has gone on to qualify for the SCA World Championship (2021) and, most recently, led his new team Hog Addiction to a Top 10 finish in the BBQ Division at the 2024 World Food Championships after winning Whole Hog at SmokeSlam in Memphis.
