After a Visit to the Memphis in May BBQ championships we were nothing short of hooked. Immediately upon returning to Calgary Alberta, the learning began! Grills were traded for BBQ's and Propane was exchanged for hickory wood. In 2012, following the model of "If it's worth doing it's worth going WAAAAYYY TOO FAR!," THE NOTORIOUS P.I.G competition team was formed and has never looked back. Almost ten years later and with piles of BBQ awards under their belt, the team took the massive and obvious next giant step! In 2021 THE NOTORIOUS P.I.G restaurant was opened inside the Tool Shed Brewing Company. Now almost 20 years after that first bite of Memphis ribs, THE NOTORIOUS P.I.G leads the Canadian National BBQ points standings for 'Team of the Year", and has even BBQ'd for the Prime Minister of Canada!
