HEAD COOK: Michelle OGuin

COMPETITION: World Invitational Steak Championship - SCA

Meet Michelle O'Guin, a seasoned food sport competitor and the 2024 World Food Championships Live Fire Champion. With over 17 years of experience in the culinary competition world, Michelle has made a name for herself alongside her husband, Brandon, as they ventured into the world of catering. Their shared passion for cooking has taken them across the country, allowing Michelle to learn from fellow chefs and diversify her menu offerings, all while continually honing her craft. In addition to her impressive competitive career, Michelle and Brandon run the Judging Program for the prestigious World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest at Memphis in May, ensuring the integrity of one of the most renowned culinary events in the world. As a dedicated mother of three, a full-time business owner, and an acclaimed food sport competitor, Michelle expertly balances a demanding schedule without sacrificing the quality that has defined her success. Michelle's career is highlighted by numerous top 5 finishes at competitions across the nation, including the 2024 Grand Champion title at the Praise the Lard BBQ Contest, the 2021 World Wing Champion title, and multiple podium finishes, including two-time 3rd Place Fire Woman and a 5th Place Live Fire finish at the World Food Championships in 2023—where she also earned a Perfect Score in the Preliminary Round.
