Chef Deborah Thomas, born in Gulfport,Ms fourth child of thirteen sibling. Being creative was not much a challenge for me. Having to learn how to cook was part of the plan growing up. In 1990, I worked for Gulfport School District for 10 years and from there I stepped into the Casino field. A lots of hands on and training from some of the best local Chefs. From buffet to fine dining my passion to cook and still stay true to my southern swag has been an experience.Cooking with passion and experience has been my strengths . I have Competed and placed and serval cooking competitions. Even tried a little Ice Carving.During my culinary journey I worked at one of the best casinos on the coast Island View Casino & Resort where I been for 13 years. Asst. Room Chef. Second year with WCF, competed as Sous with Jackie Seavey winning Top Ten and Final Table. Also this year won the recipe Challenge Contest. First Place for the State Of Mississippi In Seafood. Looking forward to the most organized Food Fight ever!! Looking to find exceptional culinary experience among many of my competitors.
