I have always loved to cook, I started very young. I won my first blue ribbon at 8 years old in my small hometown's yearly festival. My background is Southern Comfort food. I started competing in BBQ about 5 years ago. I took my husband along to do the heavy lifting and he was bitten by the BBQ bug as well. We formed the wife/husband team of Aces & Eights BBQ. In five years we have won 6 Grand and 6 Reserve Grand Championships. We love the people we have met and the life long friendships that we have formed in the BBQ community. This is something we love to do together, we really only fight setting up the RV!!
