With an eye to new twists on old favorites and enjoyable innovations designed broaden his menu, Chef Lane comes to Union Straw from a rich background working for some of the best area restaurants, including Newton's Biltmore Bar and Grill, and seven years at the Blue Room in Cambridge.
"I enjoy taking food and pushing it to a whole new level– separating Bison County from the rest of the restaurant pack by presenting traditional classics with a fresh twist, or just coming up with really cool fun stuff.

The result is a fresh and exciting take on BBQ, southern tastes, and an ever-evolving wealth of new flavors, beautifully presented by Chef Lane for your dining pleasure.
Recently, Chef Lane won the 2018 "Here's the Beef" Boston Culinary Fight Club chef's competition, with his 144-out-of-150-point-scoring rib eye presentation.
