HEAD COOK: Jesse Woodland

COMPETITION: World Seafood Championship


Jesse Woodland is a Red Seal chef based in Beaumont AB. Jesse has experience in a wide range of fine dining establishments such as Sage at the River Cree Resort & Casino, Zinc at the Art Gallery of Alberta, and Von's Steakhouse & Oyster Bar. Jesse is currently the baker at Chartier, a small family owned French-Canadian restaurant in the heart of Beaumont. His style of cooking aims to highlight simple ingredients in multiple ways within a single dish. His philosophy of local and sustainable produce helped him win a gold medal this summer in the Seafood Category at the Canadian Food Championship. This November he will be representing Canada in the World Food Championship in Alabama.
