I started cooking when I moved to San Francisco after college. When my neighborhood butcher, Mr. Bacciagalupe, ground a French garlic sausage into my meat mix, I was hooked! My cooking has changed over the years, but my love of cooking never has. Turn on my stove, tune out the world! First-quality ingredients, freshness and flavor never let me down, so I'll compete with those in mind. I cook for friends, family, fund-raisers and for sponsored national contests when they catch my eye. Having won or placed at National Beef Cook-Off, Sutter Home Burger, Mezzetta and now, with my 1st Place finish in their qualifier, Bubba Burger, and I'm heading to WFC 2016 to compete for the win. My husband and chief taster, Gonzalo Verdugo, will hand me my tools, and my glass of champagne at the end!
