COMPETITION: World Open Chili Championship
QUALIFYING EVENT: Laughlin Regional - Laughlin, NV (Verde)
I am very proud to be representing the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino chili cookoff held in Laughlin, NV in January.
In over 30 years of competing in International Chili Society events, my wife and I have won first place over 160 times. I have competed 21 times in the ICS World Championship in red chili, chili verde 14 years and salsa 17 years. Competed in Tolbert World Championship, winning top ten trophies 7 times. ICS red and verde Grand Master.
From 1994 thru 1998 I worked for Stagg Chili (Hormel Foods) as Staggmobile product sampling manager and company spokesman and am now product development consultant for Cattle Drive Chili (Aunt Kitty's Foods, Hanover Foods). I am also special events and product consultant for Results, a marketing company in Irvine, Ca.
I have competed in over 500 cookoffs in twenty different states plus Canada and Mexico.
