I began cooking when I was a Iittle girl due to my mother's illness. I started with breakfast and being given free reign at such a young age, wasn't held back by any notions of what I could or couldn't do in the kitchen. I have involved my own son in cooking and the kitchen since he was a little guy as well. I feel absolutely blessed to be able to bring him to the competition in Orlando with me- and in the competition kitchen with me! How incredible to be able to share this whole new world of competitive cooking with your own kid. He is looking forward to entering his own contests so he can compete against me- heh! I have had a love affair with beef since I can remember. I think I could eat it everyday and never get sick of beef. I love to grill and prefer simple, uncomplicated, tasty dishes. I don't have professional culinary training, however I have been competing at the local and state level for some time.
