COMPETITOR

Kim Biegacki

COMPETITION: World Open Chili Championship

QUALIFYING EVENT: Just a Pinch - Chili

I am somewhat new to the "foodie" world as I really just started cooking full time at home for my family about 5 years ago. I really love to cook, photographing the finished results and most of all serving up a fabulous meal for family and friends. I also love to throw a good party whether it be a cookie exchange, soup exchange, Valentine's party or even a End of Summer Garden party. In 2010, I lost my one & only most dedicated encourager & spiritual up lifter; my beloved grandmother Roberta Campbell. She was the sweetest, kindest and most loving lady who always supported me in whatever I put my hand to. So, in dedication to her and her lifelong career of being a mother & taking care of her family I chose to pour my heart and soul into cooking in my own kitchen for my sweet husband Anthony. So far, it seems that I have found something I really love to do. Soon after my grandmother's passing, I earned my bachelor's of art degree from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio in May of 2010. I then decided to take some time off from work and school to stay at home. I look to resume my path of education by earning a master's degree starting in 2014. In addition, I have 3 nephews who I love to spend time with & to teach them how to cook. My youngest nephew Noah is my biggest fan and loves to spend time with me in the kitchen cooking up new recipes and having pickle tastings. In 2011, I stumbled upon a recipe club online called Just a Pinch that has become my most favorite place to be when I'm not actually cooking. I have met some of the greatest ladies & men who have given me advice and encouraged me in my cooking and I am deeply honored that Just a Pinch has chosen my chili to compete in this competition. I remain a dedicated member of the club and I really hope I do them proud! (I forgot to mention that we have 2 incredible & beautiful Schnoodle doggies! Tibby our female with a gray merle coat and Paczki (named after the famous Polish donut) is our male whose coat is a brown merle. Oh, and we have one lovely cockatiel named Benci Boy.)
