Starting to learn to cook well... culinary rookie... in my 40s!
My whole life, I've been one of those people who "just can't cook." (Ask my family about the pumpkin ice cream only Grandma would eat ... or when I accidently cooked the plastic bag full of gizzards in the Thanksgiving turkey!)
Thanks in part to TV cooking shows and encouragement from family, over the past few years have been working on taking five or six dishes (chili is one) from "barely edible" to "yum!." Am a definitely a work in progress!
I'm so proud to be in this contest... truly enjoy the fun, fellowship and camaraderie of chili cookoffs in our West Virginia / Ohio / mid-Atlantic region... lots of fantastic people cook delicious chili to benefit wonderful charity organizations. Looking forward to the World Food Championships!
