COMPETITION: World Open Chili Championship
QUALIFYING EVENT: 15th Annual South of the Border International Chili Cookooff- Puerto Penasco, MX
I love to cook and try new recipes. My sister got me into cooking competition chili about 13 years ago when I went with her to Rocky Point, Mexico, for a cook-off. They needed one more cook to make one hundred competitors and that cook was me! I only compete in four or five cook-offs a year, but it's always a great time and good reason to spend time with family as my dad and stepmom also compete. I am a native Arizonan and raise trout for the state. Most people think of Arizona as a desert, but it is very diverse. We distribute trout all over the state from Yuma to Pinetop and everywhere in between! One of my other passions is movies and all my friends know not to call me on Oscar night. I am excited to compete in this cook-off!!
