I discovered competition BBQ completely by accident 13 years ago when I mistakenly entered the pro division without even owning a smoker. Instead of backing out, I built one — still welding on it the morning of the competition. That day sparked a passion that has driven me ever since. Over the years, I’ve developed a reputation for creativity on the pit, especially when working with mystery meats and surprise ingredients. My team, Porktera BBQ, is built on friendship, fun, and a love of bold flavors — and we live by our motto: We fight fire with pork.
