I have been in the bbq circuit for 4 years now, thanks to my husband, Jim Elser. I went to my first comp in 2020 and entered the addicting world of ancillary. When I was called for 4th place in dessert, I was hooked. Since then I have gone non stop with ancillary in pretty much every category. I have a very eccentric mind when it comes to flavor combinations and enjoy seeing the final results. I have brought a lot of flavors to my job as well. I run two school cafeterias and feed over 3000 kids a day. Bringing them new ideas and flavors they might not experience at home is rewarding to me. I love the fact I have offered some food that they might never have experienced. I have even starred hosting a BBQ competition that raises money for Epilepsy, this year it has been the largest in Florida, and look forward to hosting the State Championship Competition next September.
