I was one of the first KCBS Competition Cooks in Iowa (mid 90's). After getting started traveled thousands of miles each year competing in KCBS Competitions held all across the country. My passion for all things bbq led to the design, development and production of BBQ Rigs (trailers) starting at S and S Trailers, Des Moines, IA and ending in 2022 at Gold Medal BBQ-Iowa. Now in retirement, but committed to keeping outdoor cooking strong in Iowa and Beyond!
