Hailing from the great state of Texas, Sean has been instrumental in leading his team, the Texas Moonswiners, to victory time and time again. The Texas Moonswiners are renowned for their award-winning BBQ, capturing the hearts and taste buds of food enthusiasts across the Lone Star State. Under Sean's guidance, the team has consistently secured top honors, showcasing their mastery of smoking techniques and distinct flavor profiles. Sean attributes their success not only to culinary expertise but also to their unyielding faith. Their strong spiritual beliefs provide a guiding force and inspire them to create dishes that not only tantalize the senses but also nourish the soul. Sean and his team firmly believes that food has the power to bring people together, fostering a sense of unity and joy in every meal. Beyond his culinary achievements, Sean has an impressive background in the United States Air Force Reserves, serving for over 16 years. This experience instilled in him a sense of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork, which he seamlessly translates into his culinary pursuits. The dedication and precision learned during his military service have become integral to his approach in the competitive cooking arena. Despite their numerous accomplishments, Sean and his team remain grounded and attribute their success to the unwavering support of their loving families. They cherish their role as a spouse and parent, emphasizing the importance of strong family values in their lives. This commitment to family extends beyond their personal circle, as they actively promote unity and camaraderie within their cooking team, fostering an environment of trust and mutual respect. Sean was recently featured in an ESPN article for his role as coach of the 2023 High School State BBQ Champions, the 205 Pitmasters. In three short years, Sean has grown a BBQ powerhouse. Starting with four students in 2020, Sean now has four teams and 18 high school pitmasters. Coaching last years Brisket State Champion and this year's overall Grand Champion team, Barstool Sports named him, "Dude Of The Year."
