Barking Pig BBQ

HEAD COOK: W. Bryant Morton

COMPETITION: World Barbecue Championship

Barking Pig BBQ is a Competition/Catering/Concession team located in Flat Creek Tennessee. Being firefighters/first responders, Barking Pig BBQ was born out of the joy and camaraderie of smoking butts for our annual volunteer fire department fundraiser. We started competing in 2017 and invested in a concession/competition trailer the following year. We enjoy all of the aspects of smoking meat and creating side dishes for festivals, weddings, competitions, meat sales from the farm, charity events, and street-corner pop-ups. We mostly compete in KCBS BBQ and SCA Steak events. Our BBQ sauce- Barking Pig Signature Squealin' Sauce- is a favorite with the locals in our region. I am Bryant Morton, a veterinarian in Lynchburg Tennessee by day, a beef producer at home, and an enthusiastic foodie 24/7. My team qualified for this event by winning a Golden Ticket to the 2022 WFC and finishing 3rd in the BBQ EAT competition, 7th in the BBQ CBA competition, and 7th overall in the 2022 BBQ World Finals!
