COMPETITION: World Open Chili Championship

QUALIFYING EVENT: Great Lakes Regional


From Windsor, Ontario, Richard is one of a handful of Canadians competing this weekend. He is an ICS Master Cook in both Traditional Red Chili and Chili Verde. He has represented Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Florida, West Virginia and Rhode Island at the World’s Championship Chili Cookoff, placing 5th in 2007 and 6th in 2010 in Traditional Red and 4th in 2006 in Chili Verde. Besides being an ICS cook and certified judge, Richard is also a certified BBQ judge and a member of the Fossil Fuelled Porkers, a Memphis in May Championship BBQ team.
