Dewayne is a proud father of one daughter that is his inspiration and motivation for not only competing but winning cooking competitions. He grew up learning southern-style cooking from some of the best in the business his grandmothers on both sides of his family, great grandmothers, great aunt, and his mother that cooked professionally. His mother had her own restaurant offering wonderful southern cooking at it's finest. With generations of knowledge that have been pasted down In southern cooking, Dewayne now owns the number one rated BBQ Restaurant in the state of Kentucky- Rib Lickers. He has created an atmosphere that offers live music and open-air seating that seems to be the perfect recipe for the ultimate BBQ experience. He is also the founder of BBQBrokers.com where he has a seasoning and sauce line that is now selling In all fifty states. He is a Judge at the Jack Daniel Word Invitational BBQ Cooking Competition. He has walked the stage four times out of the last five years at the Memphis In May World BBQ Cooking Competition. He rarely enters a cooking competition that he doesn't win or final In. In September 2020 Dewayne won the Food Network's Cooking Channel Pitt Boss Championship where he earned the title "Boss of BBQ" that aired as the "All Night BBQ Fight". Dewayne has been trained by some of the best in barbque Mike Mills and Pat Burk both Hall of Famers along with Myron Mixon. He has been trained by BBQ Royalty but he tries to help anyone he can. Although he is not professionally trained those that are avoid him at all cost in a cooking competition. He is an absloute machine in the kitchen and seems to always have a solution for any curve ball thrown his way. He is exciting to watch and fun to be around with an infectious laugh and outgoing personallity.
