COMPETITION: World Dessert Championship
New as a competitor in the World Food Championships in 2018, it was an incredible honor to place 4th in the World Dessert Championship! I was thrilled to return in 2019 to the beautiful city of Dallas where I just missed top 10 by .0187 of a point. Ouch! This was a hard lesson in the importance of every tiny detail in Food Sport when planning and executing that two hour performance window. There is absolutely no room for mistakes! We all do this for the love of food, friendship and fun, and our experiences are NEVER wasted. The losses usually fuel most of us crazy competitors to fight even harder..... so I'm so excited to once again step into Kitchen Arena in 2020 alongside some of the most talented bakers (not to mention some of my most favorite people) in the world!
When I'm not competing, my boutique catering business, Scrumptious Catering Company keeps me busy in my home city of Nashville, TN. Known for fresh, made from scratch cuisine and the most fabulous desserts, my presentation and display of the food are details that set my catered events apart and keep my clients coming back. I've been honored to be the primary caterer for a large local healthcare giant for the past six years for all their clinic openings and acquisitions, and to be featured in local and national magazines. The entire food experience, from the initial visual enticement that invites others in, to satisfied smiles when the first bite is taken, to connecting and making memories.... this is what food has the ability to do and is my goal with every catering event, family meal, or decadent dessert I create.
