COMPETITION: World Seafood Championship
For 18+ years, Dan has been working in some of Kansas City’s oldest establishments including Coach’s, Stroud’s, and the Classic Cup. Starting off as a bus boy and working his way up with some of the great mentors that work at those historic restaurants, he has now found his own niche in the Kansas City restaurant scene. In 2013 Jason and Dan opened District Pour House in Waldo with attention to Modern American Cuisine as well as a strong Craft Cocktail Menu. In 2016 Dan purchased the Classic Cup. He has competed in the World Food Championships for the last three years as a sous chef for Chef John Magno. In 2019, Dan finished 7th in Seafood and will compete again in 2020.
