COMPETITION: World Seafood Championship
Our team is led by four high school seniors – Marquis Mingo, Raelon Oroark, Marhyia Averhart are from Davidson High School and Jonathan Brooks of Bryant High School, both in Mobile, Alabama. Marquis has participated in a Senior Bowl grilling event with Bo Jackson and he and Raelon were both Jr. Judges at the “Taste of the Bayou” qualifying event last spring. Marhyia helps cook for the Boys and Girls Club. Jonathan grew up in a restaurant family. These students are mentored and taught by Rachel Baxter and Annette Johnson.
