HEAD COOK: Willie Onan
COMPETITION: World Open Chili Championship
I was introduced to cooking by my Grandmother. She taught me to love the food you cook. If you cook and don\'t put love into it. Others won\'t like it. I watched her for over several years before she passed away. Her love remains in me still and it lead me to go to Culinary but was also introduced to Culinary School by my Father in-law. He said to keep my Grandmother love going. But before I went to Culinary School I worked at several different types of restaurant. The knowledge I learned from Culinary School I landed the job of my life. I'm the Pastry Chef at Farmer and Frenchman. Its is a great place to work for and it gives me the ability to dig deep in my culinary skills. Not only do i work Farmer and Frenchman i also own a catering company called Saving You Thyme Catering. The cater company gives me the opportunity to cook for many different people and ethic backgrounds. I love the challange. This year I will be bringing a couple of teammates with me. These two individuals are hometown friends but most of all family.. These two individuals are great at what they do and love cooking as much as I do...
