Rebecka Evans from Houston, Texas is an award winning home cook and creator of the food blog AtHomeWithRebecka.com.
Rebecka made her national television debut on Food Network’s primetime, six-episode competition series Clash of the Grandmas. Her husband, children and friends went wild as she won first place, taking home $10,000 for her Mexican Biscochito Cookie with Cinnamon Tequila Ice Cream Sandwich.
Rebecka won top honors at The World Food Championships 2017 in Orange Beach, Alabama. She was crowned the Bacon World Champion and won another $10,000 with her one of a kind Dutch Crunch Baby Pancakes.
Most recently, Rebecka took home four consecutive First Place wins, Sutter Home Wines-Build a Better Burger Regional Finals (she will go onto compete in Napa, CA for 25K in May 2019), The 2018 Mushroom Festival, The 2018 Riunite Southern Regional Chili Cook-off and the Cape Cod Select Cranberry Recipe Challenge-Appetizer. Hoping to repeat her 2017 Bacon Category win at the Bacon World Food Championship 2018, Rebecka was proud to place 7th with her one of a kind (BLT) Bacon Lemon and Tomato Cupcakes. Icing on the Food Sport cake, Rebecka won 1st Place in the 2018 World Food Championships Grand Throwdown.
Not her first time at the WFC, Rebecka holds the title of 4th Place Bacon World Food Championship 2015 and first place winner of the 2015 World Food Championships Blogger Summit called “Food Fight Write!”
A food sport competitor for many years, Rebecka’s Garlic Goat Cheese and Bacon Soufflé with Creamy Garlic Mustard Sauce recipe won first place in the 2016 Great Garlic Cook-Off at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Gilroy, California.
Rebecka’s talent goes beyond the kitchen and onto the stage as a trained classical vocalist. She’s performed in many professional productions. Her second passion aside from cooking is singing opera.
